RCIA PROGRAM
FOR BELIEVERS AND WOULD-BE BELIEVERS
The RCIA process is designed
to help persons in one or more of the following groups:
- Catholics who want to deepen their understanding
of their Faith.
- Adult Catholics preparing for 1st Communion and
Confirmation.
- Returning Catholics.
- Non-Catholics who want to learn more about
Catholic Christianity.
- Non-Catholics who want to become a member of the
Catholic Church.
RCIA is the process of
learning and living the message of Jesus as revealed in the Scriptures and in
Catholic tradition. The program explores the teachings, practices, and history
of the Catholic Church – so that each person involved in the process comes to
enjoy a fuller, richer understanding of God and his/her relationship to God and
community. For enrollment or for more
information, please contact Fr. Ted at 775-1994.

CVPS FILL THE CUPBOARD CHALLENGE
The 6th Annual
CVPS Fill the Cupboard Challenge has begun. In the past five years, Fill the
Cupboard participants have donated 75,000 food items to the Rutland Community
Cupboard—a remarkable amount that has provided hundreds of families with
emergency food assistance. This year, the need for the Fill the Cupboard
Challenge is greater than ever as gasoline, heating and food prices soar, and
hundreds more people in Rutland are relying on the Rutland Community Cupboard
to make ends meet. Our goal is to collect 20,000 food items, which is
ambitious, given the effect of higher prices, but with your continued support,
I know we can meet it. There will be
boxes for the food items by the exits of the Church until September 28.
CELEBRATE FAMILY DINNER DAY ON
The national incentive reminding
parents that “what kids want most at the dinner table is YOU!!” is adding new
life and support to the hope that every day is family day with family dinners
being particularly good for children. With that in mind, in 2001, The National
Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at

St. Bridget’s Annual Bazaar
and Food Sale will be held on Saturday, September 20 from
