This Sunday, March 29, at 3:00 PM at St. Peter we will have a Deanery Lenten Penance Service. The priests from the parishes in Rutland county will be available for Confessions.

 WELCOME BACKPACK – DISMAS HOUSE

This weekend, March 28/29, is when the items for the Dismas House backpacks are to be brought to church. Dismas House, a residential program which helps those formerly jailed or imprisoned to make the transition to a new civilian life, is asking support to fill backpacks for their residents.

 

EASTER FLOWERS

FOR ST. PETER:  Envelopes are available at all the entrances. Remember to honor a loved one by making a donation for the purchase of flowers for Easter. Please place your envelope with the name(s) and your donation in the collection basket, drop it off at the Rectory or mail it by March 30. Thank you.

 

FOR ST. DOMINIC:  Your envelope packets contain an Easter flower envelope in them. Please place your envelope with the name(s) and your donation in the collection basket, drop it off at St. Peter Rectory or mail it by March 30. Thank you.

 

IMPORTANT REMINDER!!!!!

A registration form and letter has been sent to all our parishioners from St. Peter and St. Dominic. Every parishioner, whether you use envelopes or not, must fill out the registration form and return it to St. Peter Church, 134 Convent Ave., Rutland by March 31. The purpose of the registration form is to update our records for the new computer program. If you do not return the registration form, we will assume that you do not want to be a registered parishioner.

  

ST. PETER FUEL RAFFLE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING

The Grand Prize Drawing is set for Saturday, April 18 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Howe Center. Dinner will be a supper-buffet. We will be drawing one $200 dollar winner and two $500 winners. 10th ANNUAL CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL COMEDY NIGHT

There will be a Comedy Night on Saturday, April 4 at the Franklin Conference Center to benefit Christ the King School. A hilarious evening of ADULT comedy – a guaranteed night of laughs. Three professional comedians who have performed nationwide will entertain and delight you. Hurry, tickets for both the 6:30 PM show and the 9:00 PM show are available – but they will go fast. Cost is $25.00 per person. Doors open at 6:00 PM for the 6:30 PM show and 8:30 PM for the 9:00 PM show. Chances to win great gift baskets and travel raffle/booster drawn that night.

 

 

CURSILLO WEEKEND

If you are seeking a way to discover more about the spiritual side of yourself…want to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus…and share it with others…consider attending a Catholic Cursillo (pronounced kur-see-yo). During three days, you will live and work together in a Christian environment, listening to talks by laity and clergy. You will pray together and celebrate the Eucharist every day. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT MSJ

Come visit with Jesus. The Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is now available each Friday, from 12:00 – 2:30 PM at the Immaculate Conception Chapel at MSJ, 127 Convent Ave., Rutland. All are welcome. Come spend 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour. Come pray, sit, reflect and listen to Our Lord. You will not be sorry. If you have any questions, call 775-0151. Use the main entrance to MSJ. Exposition will be available on the following Friday’s in April:  3rd and 24th.

 


C.D.A. FLEA MARKET REPORT

A big thank you to our members who contributed to the success of our Flea Market. Sincere thanks to Robert Coons, Donald Russell and Kevin McDonnell for setting up the tables, also Luisa Cioffi, for her generous donation, the soups were delicious as always. Lynn Ryan a great job well done on the advertising and Leona Minard for the posters. Thank you also goes out to Cynthia Socinski, Robert Coons and Karen Dido for helping with the sale of the raffle tickets at the Proctor High School.
