COURT ST. ROSE 1100 will be having a regular CDA meeting on Monday, November 9, 2009. November is National Hospice Month. Laura Driscoll has invited Randi Cohn to be our guest speaker, the singing group Trillium will also perform. Our guests will start their program promptly at 6:30 PM. Refreshments and a regular business meeting will follow. Laura Driscoll, Leona Minard and Mary Layn are on committee. Anyone interested in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas is welcome to join us in Proctor at St. Dominic’s Parish Hall.

 Next Saturday, November 14, at the 5:15 PM Mass at St. Peter, the junior high religious education students from Rutland county will join us after their participation in the junior high religious education rally at MSJ.  Please welcome them to our parish community.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS

Again this year, St. Peter’s will be putting together Thanksgiving Baskets for needy families. There are slips of paper at the entrances of the Church with names of food items that are needed. Please take a slip or slips and bring that food item to Church on or before Sunday, November 22.

 


CORRECTION

CHRISTMAS SALE – The Christmas Sale at St. Bridget Church in West Rutland will be on November 14 NOT November 18 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the parish hall. There will be baked goods, hand made crafts and other specialty items. Raffle tickets will be sold for a variety of prizes. Lunch counter will be available from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Vendor tables are available for $10. For more information, call 438-2490.

 

ANNUAL HARVEST SUPPER will be held at the Grace Congregational Church, Rutland on Saturday, November 14 at 6:00 PM. Adults $10, children 4-12 years $5, under 3 are free. Tickets available at the Grace Church Office 775-4301.

 

2009 ADVENT APPEAL

The Vermont Catholic Charities 2009 Advent Appeal, (formerly the Giving Tree), aids our Vermont neighbors with food, Christmas gifts, and much more. Pastors throughout Vermont tell us that families also need help with heating bills, medicine, and warm winter clothes for elders. Please consider a donation to make this joyous season happier for our neighbors who need a hand. ROSARY PRAYER GROUP

A Rosary Prayer Group gathers every Tuesday at 7:00 PM for both men and women at the parish center of St. Patrick’s Church in Wallingford. The evening consists of prayer, scripture reading, faith sharing and fellowship. Prayer is an important ministry for the church. All adults are invited and encouraged to attend.

 

 

 


 

HARVEST DINNER

St. Peter Parish will have a Harvest Dinner

Saturday, November 14 at 6:30 PM,

at the Franklin Conference Center at the Howe Center. The dinner will feature roast pork, squash, salads, vegetables & apple crisp for dessert.

There will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children,

under 5 are free.

Tickets will be sold after Mass and at the door. Everyone is welcome.

 

 

OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

PREGNANCY CENTER

There will be a benefit Dinner and Concert for The Our Lady of Guadalupe Pregnancy Center in Rutland on Sunday, November 15th at 12:30 PM at Christ the King Church in Engle Hall. Marty Rotella, Christian recording artist from New Jersey will give a concert. A ham dinner will be served. Tickets are Adults $20.00, students $12.00, $7.00 for children ages 7 – 12 and children 6 & under are free. Please call Barbara at 779-4089 or Beth at 265-3198 for reservations.
