Last Sunday St. Dominic Church hosted the annual Lenten Fair. The
Lenten Fair is when all three churches in Proctor assemble their youth for a
time of singing, dancing, eating and working on projects related to Lent. One
of the Projects was stuffing Easter Eggs with slips of paper for donations.
Everyone who chooses may select an egg and that is the item that you will need
to bring with you prior to Palm Sunday. The items collected will be given
either to the Food Shelf or to the Open Door Mission. A collection box will be
in the rear of the church. Everyone may donate. If you choose to bring
something for the Food Shelf, please bring a non-perishable food item and for
the Open Door Mission, please bring a toiletry item.
Please feel free to call Marie Baccei with any questions at 459-2834.

CROP WALK FOR HUNGER FUNDRAISER will be held on Sunday, March 28 at the Grace
Congregational Church,
Last year, during Lent, St. Peter Parish donated approximately 600
items and $270 in gift cards and cash to the residents of Rutland Dismas House.
Dismas House is a home where former prisoners reconcile themselves with society
and society with them. Your donations made the transition back into society
much easier for 50 Dismas residents. Again this year, we are asking for your
assistance to help fill backpacks for the residents. Baskets with slips of
paper with suggestions will be at the entrances to the church. Please bring
items to church by Sunday, March 28.
Once again, thank you for helping make the transition back into society easier
for many who would go without if it weren’t for the generosity of St. Peter
parishioners. God bless you for your kindness.
