Deacon Sam Fuller, Ordination

Our deacon, Br. Sam Fuller, will be ordained a priest next Saturday, June 7, by Cardinal O’Malley O.F.M. Cap., the Archbishop of Boston, at Sacred Heart Church, Yonkers, NY. On Saturday, June 21, Fr. Sam Fuller will celebrate the 5:15 PM Mass at St. Peter, and on Sunday, June 22, he will celebrate the 9:15 AM Mass at St. Dominic. Please continue to pray for him in his new ministry as a priest.

NEXT WEEKEND, Father Clyde Phillips, a Maryknoll missioner with experience in the Philippines, will speak at all the Masses and give our parishioners an opportunity to take part in the vital work of bringing Christ’s name and Christ’s message to all people.

Those who wish will be invited to sign up to receive Maryknoll magazine. Maryknoll never gives out the addresses of those who sign up so you need not fear getting on lists for receiving junk mail.

While at the parish, Father Phillips will be happy to talk with any parishioners who are interested in doing overseas mission work as a Maryknoll Priest, Sister, Brother or Lay Missioner.

BISHOP’S FUND

BABY BOOTIES FOR LIFE

To show our respect for the sanctity of human life, St. Peter and St. Dominic Churches are participating in Vermont Right to Life’s “Baby Booties for Life” fundraiser again this year. It’s easy! There are containers at all the entrances of the Church. Just take home a pair of baby booties today as you leave church and bring them back full of change at Mass on Father’s Day Weekend, June 14 – 15. They cannot afford any lost baby booties, so please don’t forget to bring them back! For more information, please call Linda at the Rectory Office, 775-1994. All proceeds will be donated to Vermont Right to Life.

COLLEGE OF ST. JOSEPH will host its 14th annual Night of Italian Opera on Friday, June 20, 2008, in Tuttle Hall on the CSJ Campus, featuring four professional opera singers. The evening will begin with a silent auction at 7:00 PM. The Opera concert starts at 8:00 PM. The winning ticket for the “Pot of Gold” Raffle $1,000 cash prize will be drawn at intermission. Tickets for the opera are $25 per person; all seats are reserved. All of the proceeds from the auction, raffle, and musical performance will go to the CSJ Annual Fund for student scholarships. Call (802) 773-5900 ext. 3264 for reservations or contact Jaime Insinga at (802) 773-5900 ext 3290 or jinsinga@csj.edu for more information.
